Island Thrift Community Grants - Full Grant Application

How to Apply

1. Determine Eligibility
- Ensure your project/event/program aligns with one of the three funding categories (Kids, Quality of Life, Seniors)
- Confirm your organization serves Greater Oak Harbor, Greater Coupeville, or all of Whidbey Island
- Verify you have not submitted another Island Thrift grant application in the current year

2. Review Timeline Requirements
- For event-related grants: Submit at least 90 days before the event
- For all other grants: Submit at least 60 days in advance of when funds are needed

3. Access the Full Grant Application Portal
- Use the online grant application portal for grants requesting $5,001 and above

4. Complete the Application
- Use your organization's mailing address for all addresses in the system
- Draft applications can be saved for up to six months
- All required fields must be completed
- Agree to the nondiscrimination policy

5. Submit Application
- Click the 'Submit Application' button when ready
- You will receive a submission confirmation email as proof of submission

6. Post-Submission
- Funding announcements made by US Mail typically within 60 days
- You may be contacted to provide additional information or give a brief presentation (10 minutes or less) to the board of directors
