Geographic Scope: Iowa (all 99 counties represented)

Award Details:

• Over 115 scholarships awarded annually
• 2025 awards totaled over $121,850
• Recipients selected from across all 58+ counties in Iowa
• Awards recognize hard work and dedication of 4-H members who use their skills to "make the best better" for others

Eligibility:

• Current or former 4-H members
• Demonstrated commitment to 4-H and community service

Application Timeline (2025):

• Over 450 applications submitted
• Scholarship recognition ceremony held in June

Application Process

1. Submit Application:
- Online application submission available
- Paper applications also accepted

- Evidence of 4-H participation and experience
- Description of how 4-H skills have been used to serve others
3. Selection Timeline:
- Applications reviewed by scholarship committee
- Awards announced at annual scholarship recognition ceremony (typically June)
