Overview: The International Science & Engineering Fair Awards Program (ISEF) is an Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP) administered by the Academy of Applied Science that provides awards to 300 local, regional and state high school science and engineering fairs throughout the year.

Purpose:

Sponsor: Army Research Office (ARO) sponsors ISEF awards for the U.S. Army

Eligibility

• Target: High school students in grades 9-12
• Citizenship: Award recipients must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents
• Middle School: In eligible fairs including middle school students (grades 8 and below), individual students' projects are reviewed separately and eligible for certificates of accomplishment only (no monetary awards)

Award Details

• Tangible gifts and savings bond awards
• Qualified experts drawn from local Army personnel serve as judges
• Prizes presented to successful competitors at science fairs

• National (local, regional, and state high school science and engineering fairs throughout the U.S.)
