Overview

inSTEM Alumni Program

Overview: An opportunity to continue to solidify community-wide relationships amongst inSTEM Scholar alumni and to perpetuate a feeling of belonging and support as inSTEM alums navigate their professional and academic careers.

Status: Program launched in 2024 with 48 alumni participants

Program Access

All inSTEM alumni have access to:

  • Past inSTEM videos and technical talks library

  • Future technical talks and workshops

  • Invitations to NSTMF events

  • Alumni contact sheet

  • inSTEM Mentor contact sheet

  • Mentor matching for alumni continuing bachelor's degrees

  • One-on-one meetings with NSTMF staff members
  • "Engaged inSTEM Alumni" Status Benefits

    Alumni who maintain a high level of interaction and participation receive:

  • Discretionary fund in Year 2 for modest support of professional and educational development opportunities

  • Exclusive invitations to all-expenses-paid experiences including future summits and Laureate Celebration experiences
  • Eligibility for "Engaged Alumni" Status

    In Year 1, alumni must participate in at least ONE of the following:

  • Participate in technical talks/panels

  • Lead an inSTEM session

  • Attend local NSTMF/inSTEM events

  • Meet with NSTMF staff

  • Serve on the inSTEM Advisory Council

  • Mentor current inSTEM Scholars

    • Focus on maximum engagement and valuable perks
