Indiana Elks Vocational Grant

The Indiana Elks Vocational Grant provides essential financial support to Indiana high school seniors seeking vocational education. Offering ten scholarships of $1000 each, this program encourages students to pursue two-year vocational or technical programs, fostering career readiness without requiring affiliation with the Elks. Since its inception, the grant has recognized the diverse educational goals of students, promoting opportunities for those not interested in traditional four-year degrees. This initiative exemplifies the Elks' commitment to enhancing community welfare through education.

Elks Lodges bring so much more to their communities than just a building, golf course or pool. They are places where neighbors come together, families share meals, and children grow up. Elks invest in their communities through programs that help children grow up healthy and drug-free, by undertaking projects that address unmet need, and by honoring the service and sacrifice of our veterans.
The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks is a national philanthropic organization that provides scholarships to individuals throughout the United States. Each year, we award more than $3 million in college scholarships to at least 850 outstanding service-minded high school seniors.
The Indiana Elks recognized that not all graduating seniors want to attend a four-year academic program and made the decision to offer a Vocational Scholarship to Indiana Students. The Indiana Elks offers 10 Vocational Scholarships to Indiana High School graduating seniors at $1000 each. No affiliation to the Elks is required.

Eligibility

Any graduating high school senior applying to an eligible vocational program.All applicants must be U.S. citizens on the date the application is filed.Eligible programs are two years or less vocational/technical programs culminating in an Associate Degree, Diploma, or Certificate (less than a Bachelor’s Degree).Not for students pursuing an Associate Degree as a step toward a Bachelor’s Degree.Applications must be filed with a local Elks Lodge near the student’s residence.
