Status: Active annual grant program

Geographic Scope: 18 counties of Western North Carolina

Overview: WNC Bridge Foundation's primary grant program supporting local non-profits aligned with the Foundation's goal of being a catalyst for positive change throughout the region.

Focus Areas

The Foundation supports three primary focus areas:
• Elder Care - Addressing needs of aging population including access to food, safe housing, utilities, transportation to medical care, and adult day programs
• Wellness Support - Removing barriers to health and wellbeing including safe housing, utilities, healthy food, reliable transportation, medical care, clothing, and medical equipment
• Youth Development - Supporting literacy, mentoring, tutoring, and special programs for disadvantaged students

Award History

• 2019: 44 organizations received $3,341,836 in total funding
• 2020: 85 organizations received $3,977,917 in total funding (nearly doubled number of recipients)
