Hurricane Henri & Ida Business Assistance Grant Program

Geographic Scope: New Jersey

Grant program administered by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) to provide relief to New Jersey businesses and nonprofits that experienced physical damage from Hurricanes Henri and Ida.

Total Funding: $10.5 million available

Eligibility Requirements

• Business Type: Small businesses and nonprofits
• Employee Limit: Up to 50 full-time equivalent employees
• Physical Location: Must have a physical commercial location in New Jersey
• Rent/Mortgage Requirement: Monthly rent or mortgage payments of at least $1,000
• Damage: Must have experienced physical damage from Hurricanes Henri or Ida

Award Details

• Award Range: $1,000 to $5,000 per applicant
• Selection Method: First come, first served basis

Application Process

1. Account Creation: Applicants needed to create a username and password on NJEDA's portal prior to application opening (or use existing credentials if previously applied for NJEDA COVID-19 relief)
2. Online Application: Submit application through NJEDA's Program Webpage
3. Timing: Applications reviewed on first come, first served basis
4. Submission Deadline: Applications opened September 17, 2021 at 9:00 AM
