Special Project

Palestine Diabetes Institute (PDI): A special focus area with medical facilities in:
• Al-Bireh (established 2009)
• Nablus (opened 2013)
• Hebron (opened 2016)

The PDI addresses the diabetes epidemic in Palestine through treatment, awareness, and education. According to the Union of Palestinian Medical Relief Committee, 18% of the Palestinian population has diabetes mellitus, with figures closer to 30% when including pre-diabetes cases.

Funding History

Since 1979, the program has made over $XXX,XXX in grant funding to dozens of organizations on-the-ground in Palestine.
