Overview

Human Fraternity Fellows Program

Overview: Inspired by the Document on Human Fraternity signed by Pope Francis and Grand Imam Al-Tayeb in 2019, the Human Fraternity Fellows Program equips participants with practical skills to advance peace, justice, and interreligious solidarity in their communities—on campus and beyond.

Focus Areas:

  • Interreligious and intercultural dialogue

  • Peace and justice building

  • Dialogue facilitation skills

  • Inclusive campus communities

  • Culture of encounter
  • Program Structure:

  • Virtual dialogue sessions during summer (approximately 90 minutes each)

  • Week-long in-person study tour (location varies; 2025 tour was in Jakarta, Indonesia)

  • Training in dialogue and facilitation techniques

  • Connection with policymakers, religious figures, and community leaders
  • Eligibility:

  • Open to: Both undergraduate and graduate students

  • International backgrounds encouraged: Program emphasizes diverse international participation

  • Religious diversity: Students from multiple religious traditions welcome

  • 2024-2025 cohort: Selected group of 10 fellows, study tour in Jakarta, Indonesia (August 10-16, 2025)

    Eligibility:

  • Undergraduate and graduate students

  • Diverse international backgrounds encouraged

  • Students from multiple religious traditions welcome
  • Application Requirements:
