The purpose of this program is to empower future generations and provide them with the tools needed to combat environmental challenges by supporting science and environmental education. This program provides funding for K-12 classroom teachers to participate in a 7- to 14-day expedition to perform firsthand research regarding such topics as climate change, ecology, and wildlife, and develop a better understanding of environmental concerns to share with their classrooms, schools, and communities.
