Homeward Bound Employee Education Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet ALL of the following requirements:

  • Be a current active employee of Homeward Bound, Inc.

  • Area of study must be in the field of long-term care (LTC) such as Nursing, OT, PT, Psychology, or Social Work

  • Regular schedule must be a minimum of 20 hours per pay period

  • Must have 2 months of employment before the date of application

  • Must affirmatively cooperate with and complete reporting requirements

  • Must receive prior approval from Human Resources department

  • Must complete the course(s) and receive a B grade or higher

  • Must provide proof of grades with an original transcript
  • Award Details

    • School Year Allocation: $48,000 total budget (as of 2020-2021 school year)
    • Per Credit: $100 per credit
    • Per Semester/Quarter: Up to $1,250 (available twice per school year)
    • Annual Maximum: $2,500 per employee per school year
    • Application Frequency: Employees may apply 2 times per school year

    Important Notes

    • Must maintain eligibility to receive grant monies
    • Funding Limitation: When the annual budget is depleted, no more applications will be accepted until the next school year
    • School year runs from fall through summer
