Overview

Ho'ākea Source is a grant program that paves the way for Pu'uhonua Society by opening new platforms to support and honor the people who live and work in Hawai'i, and by affirming the Hawaiian perspective. Ho'akea Source is a Regional Funding Program Partner under the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. The grant program also works with local utility companies throughout the state to help fund new utility projects in communities. Distribution of Funds: Hoʻākea Source will award grants ranging from $2,000 to $10,000, to selected projects. Total award monies distributed in the 2024-2025 grant cycle will be $90,000, thanks to the additional support of the Laila Twigg-Smith Art Fund of the Hawai‘i Community Foundation. Ho'akea Source is a Regional Funding Program Partner under the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. The grant program also works with local utility companies throughout the state to help fund new utility projects in communities.
