HIV, STD and TB Services - Sexually Transmitted Diseases Program RFA (NJ) Purpose for Which the Grant Program Funds Shall Be Used: Applicants may request grant funds for the following purposes:To support Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS) staff in conducting disease investigation and intervention activities, also referred to as Partner Services.To provide funding for statewide safety-net STD testing for uninsured men and women under the age of 30, or those without access to other means of STD testing.To expand local STD clinical services by increasing hours of operation and the number of individuals served for STD testing and treatment.To support the integration of STD and HIV services.

Grant funds may be used to cover the salary, fringe benefits, and related expenses for Disease Intervention Specialist (DIS) staff.Applicants must also demonstrate the ability to expand local health STD clinic services by adding clinical staff to support extended service hours and increased availability of care.
