The Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation awards matching grants of up to $10,000 to help congregations in Allegheny County preserve and restore historic religious buildings.
The deadline for the 2027 grant cycle is Friday, December 11, 2026. Grants support the basic structure and exterior envelope: walls, columns, windows, roof structure and gutters.

Recognized religious institutions in Allegheny County, PA that are PHLF members (or join). The building must be at least 50 years old, architecturally significant, house an active congregation, and provide community social services.
Ineligibility
Interior work beyond the structure and shelter of the building is not eligible. Grants require a match.
