Higher Education Scholarship

Funder: Early Childhood Council of Larimer (Northern Colorado Kids Thrive)

Overview: Funding for tuition, fees, and/or books for individuals pursuing early childhood education coursework or degree programs at accredited colleges and universities.

Primary Goal: Develop and support an effective and well-educated workforce serving infant, toddler, and preschool-age children

Eligibility:

Must be taking ECE courses or enrolled in an ECE-related degree program at an accredited college or university

Applicants working in the field of early care and education in Larimer County will be prioritized

Not intended for: Those seeking careers in elementary education

Background: Since 2002-2003, Northern Colorado Kids Thrive has provided over half a million dollars in scholarships to individuals working in early care and education in Larimer County.

Funding Source: This project is supported by the Preschool Development Grant Birth through Five Initiative (PDG B-5), Grant Number 90TP0114, from the Office of Child Care, Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
