Luthecare is committed to supporting the education of future healthcare professionals. The Nursing Scholarship Program offers scholarships to local high school seniors planning to pursue a nursing degree.
Eligibility
- High school seniors from public, private, nonpublic, and homeschool in eligible counties
- Must plan to pursue a nursing degree
- Eligible high schools include: Manheim Township, Manheim Central, Columbia High, Lebanon High, ELCO High, Cedar Crest, and Warwick
- One $1,000 scholarship per eligible school
Program History
- Program began in 2009 for Luthercare team members
- Extended to local high school students in 2020 due to COVID-19 impact on nursing field
- As of 2020, has distributed $115,000 in scholarships to 83 high school students
