Purpose: A unique honor given to individuals who have previously received a World of Children Award (Youth, Health, Humanitarian, or Education Award) and who have leveraged their original award far beyond initial expectations, delivering profound additional impact for children.
Target Applicants: Past honorees of World of Children Awards who demonstrate exceptional follow-through and expanded impact.
Award Benefit: World of Children provides additional grant funding to all Hero Award Honorees in recognition of their continued and exceptional work.

Background: Part of World of Children's award programs. Demonstrates organizational commitment to long-term support of honorees. The organization has granted over $7 million in cash grants and program support to more than 100 humanitarian leaders since 1998.
