Hepatitis B Birth Dose Honor Roll

Purpose: Recognizes U.S. birthing facilities that have attained a hepatitis B vaccine birth dose coverage rate of 90% or greater.

    To be included in Immunize.org's Hepatitis B Birth Dose Honor Roll, your facility must:

    1. Achieve 90% or greater coverage rate over a 12-month period for administering hepatitis B vaccine before facility discharge to all newborns (regardless of birth weight)
    - This includes newborns whose parents refuse vaccination

    2. Have written and implemented birth dose policies that include:
    - Procedures and protocols
    - Protections for all newborns from hepatitis B virus infection prior to facility discharge
    - Procedures for medical errors
