Overview: A free summer camp program for Baltimore City youth that provides hands-on learning experiences in conservation-themed environments across the United States.

Status: Active, endowment-funded

Geographic Scope:

Primary participants: Baltimore City students

Program locations: Maine, Florida, Louisiana, and Maryland

Focus Areas:

Aquatic ecosystem education

Marine and freshwater conservation

Wildlife observation and habitat study

Leadership development

Connection to nature and blue planet conservation

Program Highlights:

Students participate in hands-on experiences at conservation-themed camps

No cost to participating families (endowment-funded)

Locations include:

- Maine: Rocky coastline, tide pools, Atlantic puffin restoration
- Florida Keys: Coral reef and mangrove forest ecosystems
- Louisiana: Wetlands, Gulf of Mexico, alligators, barrier islands
- Maryland: Chesapeake Bay estuary, blue crabs, oyster restoration
