Henry Hall Summer Scholars

A free, endowment-funded summer camp program for Baltimore City youth that provides hands-on learning experiences at conservation-themed camps across the United States.

Geographic Scope:

• Program locations include: Maine, Florida, Louisiana, and Maryland
• Eligibility: Baltimore City students

Focus Areas:

• Conservation education
• Hands-on environmental learning
• Connection to aquatic ecosystems and water
• Marine and freshwater habitat exploration
• Leadership development

• Students participate in field experiences at multiple conservation sites
• Topics covered include: Atlantic puffins (Maine), coral reefs and mangroves (Florida), wetlands and alligators (Louisiana), Chesapeake Bay and oyster restoration (Maryland)
• No cost to families - fully funded through endowment
• Empowers students to become passionate protectors of the ocean planet
• Part of the National Aquarium's mission to connect people with nature and inspire conservation
