Overview

Our Mission “To be a catalyst for promoting wellness and improving health in Cleveland County” Our History Founded in 1990, the Cleveland Memorial Hospital Foundation, Inc. was established to raise funds in support of capital projects and equipment for Cleveland Memorial Hospital. Most notably, the Foundation raised $1.5 million to assist in the $35 million expansion project of the hospital. In 1995, the Board of Directors changed the mission from funding bricks and mortar to providing financial support for community disease and injury prevention activities and health maintenance programs. During the succeeding years, the Foundation undertook a number of projects within both the Cleveland and Kings Mountain hospitals, including: As Cleveland Memorial Hospital Foundation (1990 to 2014): Wellness Center for Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehabilitation – Atrium Health ClevelandLabyrinth & Garden of Peace at Atrium Health Cleveland Cleveland Pines SolariumCourtesy Tram for visitors at Atrium Health Cleveland Atrium Health fully endorses the efforts of the organization and recognizes the need for a community non-profit healthcare foundation. Through in-kind support and active partnership, Atrium Health provides professional staff, office space and administrative overheard support to the Foundation allowing it to devote its entire focus and assets on the healthcare needs of the community.
