Our Story The Greater Oxford Community Foundation serves a 144 square mile area including Oxford and the surrounding community by providing leadership in enhancing the quality of life; by supporting natural, community, and human resources; by acting as a catalyst in identifying and addressing evolving needs; and by providing a flexible and cost-effective way for donors to improve the community now and for all time. Our Mission The mission of the Greater Oxford Community Foundation is to improve, enhance, and sustain the quality of life in the Greater Oxford area (defined as the Talawanda School District) by awarding grants and scholarships for programs and projects that benefit the citizens of the community. Grants are funded through generous donors who contribute charitable gifts of cash and marketable securities as well as planned gifts such as estate bequests, life insurance policies that name the foundation as beneficiary, and other types of deferred assets. Greater Oxford Community Foundation Grants The Oxford Community Foundation welcomes grant proposals for projects and programs focused on the greater Oxford area (defined as the geographic area encompassing the Talawanda School District). Grants support a variety of programs, including the fields of education, environment and conservation, social services, physical and mental health, arts and culture, and civic projects. The Foundation actively promotes diversity, equality, and a community free from discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, ethnic or religious background, age, or disability.Eligibility

The Foundation does not fund proposals that seek:The principal financial support for an organization or to cover budget deficitsFunding for salaries that are for continued support.
