Grants For Visual Artists

The Harpo Foundation, established in 2006, supports under-recognized visual artists through its 'Grants for Visual Artists' program, offering 7-10 grants annually. Eligibility:Self-defined under-recognized visual artist 21 years or olderUnited States citizenNot a previous recipient of a direct artist grant from Harpo.Artists who have been supported by an organizational grant from Harpo in the past are eligible to apply for a direct grant

Ineligibility

However, a proposal with an interdisciplinary approach may be considered as long as it has a strong visual art component. Non-U.S. citizens, even permanent residents of the U.S., are not eligible. Artists who are students at the time of the application deadline are not eligible.Students who (as of the date of this year’s deadline) are currently enrolled in a fine arts degree program, have been enrolled in a fine arts degree program within the last 12 months, or are planning to attend a fine arts degree program in the coming year are NOT eligible.
