Overview

NOTE: Travel grant applications will be accepted twice a year. Apply by  January 1 for spring/summer conferences and September 1 for fall conferences. Mission The Society for the Study of Early Modern Women and Gender supports and promotes inclusive, creative scholarship on women and gender across the early modern world. We are committed to interdisciplinary, intersectional approaches that are historically sensitive and theoretically exploratory, and to teaching that reflects this scholarship. We welcome as members to our community all university faculty, students, and independent scholars interested in any topic that speaks to the Society’s mission. Graduate Student Travel Grants Each year, the Society for the Study of Early Modern Women and Gender provides travel support for up to six graduate students to present their work at national or international conferences. Travel costs up to $500 each will be supported.
