Specialty Field Scholarships The Graduate Education Fund supports American and Australian Graduate-level students and researchers in various disciplines, to study in each other’s country, through multiple scholarship opportunities. Please read each scholarship outline carefully as eligibility requirements, deadlines, and application details may vary. AUKUS Scholarship The American Australian Association is strongly supportive of AUKUS and its aim to promote stability, security, and most importantly freedom within the wider Indo-Pacific region. The AUKUS Scholarships support American and Australian individuals undertaking full-time Graduate level study with a focus on the fields of security, technology, and diplomacy. Applicants with specializations including but not limited to Pillar I and the SSN-AUKUS Submarine Program, the Pillar II fields of Artificial Intelligence and Autonomy, Quantum Technology, Advanced Cyber, Undersea Technology, Hypersonics, and Electronic Warfare, as well as the aligned capability of Innovation, specifically regarding climate and clean energy, are strongly encouraged to apply. Funding This scholarship will provide support of up to US $40,000 and may be used to support tuition, travel, living expenses and any other associated educational or research costs.

Eligibility requirements Australia to USA direction:All AUS to USA applicants must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident; Applicants must have a formal letter of offer from an accredited institution, program or course in the USA at the time of application; Applicants must be conducting research or studying within the fields supported; Applicants must be studying at the Graduate-level or above (Masters, Ph.D. or Postdoctoral Research); Applicants may already have commenced their studies in the USA, but must have at least one-year of full-time study left.Eligibility requirements USA to Australia direction:All USA to AUS applicants must be an American citizen or permanent resident; Applicants must have a formal letter of offer from an accredited institution, program or course in Australia, at the time of application; Applicants must be conducting research or studying within the fields supported; Applicants must be studying at the Graduate-level or above (Masters, Ph.D. or Postdoctoral Research); Applicants may already have commenced their studies in Australia, but must have at least one-year of full-time study left at the time of application.
