GFC makes targeted donations for services, equipment, research, and/or amenities that make an immediate positive impact on treatment and the experience for both patients and families.

Grant History: To date, GFC has granted $17 Million in funding to over 100 different cancer-related charities. Annual grants in recent years: 2025: $2,000,000; 2024: $2,250,000; 2023: $1,500,000.

      Five Priorities of Giving

GFC supports cancer-related 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organizations aligned with these priorities:
    • Early Detection & Education
    • Palliative Care
    • Patient & Family Support
    • Research
    • Treatment Access

    Key Criteria for Funding

Transformation: Focus on projects where GFC can make a transformational difference. Particular interest in early-stage projects, harder to fund needs, and underfunded programs.

Collaboration: Organizations with a track record of working collaboratively across the cancer community, with a clear plan to include patients, families, and caregivers in their efforts.

Financial and Programmatic Capacity: Applicants must demonstrate stability, a solid financial and program management team, a strong balance sheet, and program plans to ensure sustainability beyond GFC's financial commitment.

Leadership: Applicants must possess an active working board of directors overseeing strategic direction.

Measurable Impact: High priority on organizations that can clearly articulate organizational goals, present a clear plan for achieving results, and track outcomes and impact on the people and communities served.
