Overview

Gold Key Scholarship Program

Established By: Michigan Elks Association Charitable Grant Fund Scholarship Commission

Purpose: To provide post-secondary education scholarships for students with special needs.

Geographic Scope: Michigan

Eligibility:

  • Students with special needs as defined by the Gold Key Commission

  • Special needs defined as: physically or mentally challenged, as may be approved by the Gold Key Commission of the Michigan Elks Association

  • Applicants unable to otherwise continue education or training past high school

  • Must be sponsored by a member lodge of the Michigan Elks Association
  • Educational Level: Post-secondary education at either:

  • An accredited college or university

  • A licensed trade or vocational school
  • Goal: To help qualifying applicants become self-respecting, self-reliant, and self-supporting members of society.

    How to Apply

    Application Requirements

    • Must be sponsored by a member lodge of the Michigan Elks Association (e.g., Traverse City Elks Lodge #323)
    • Applicant must qualify as having special needs as defined by the Gold Key Commission of the Michigan Elks Association
