Overview

NOTE: The Goizueta Foundation accepts applications on a rolling basis, so organizations may complete the online application at any time. Proposals are considered at the May and November board meetings. Notification of grant approvals and declinations are announced following each meeting. We strongly encourage nonprofit organizations that meet eligibility requirements to contact the Foundation to schedule an introductory meeting with our program staff. The Foundation “At The Goizueta Foundation, we believe that challenging organizations to think about education in innovative, strategic ways is part of the formula for creating life-changing opportunities for individuals and long-term benefits for the communities in which they live and serve.” Our Mission Giving young people the opportunity, through education, to succeed. Roberto C. Goizueta, chair and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company from 1981 to 1997, founded The Goizueta Foundation in 1992. The Foundation’s six shared values were inspired by Mr. Goizueta and were attributes often used to describe him. It is only fitting to tell his story through the lens of those values. Types of Funding The Goizueta Foundation supports efforts within metropolitan Atlanta that are most aligned with our focus and shared values as well as our strategic priorities. We seek to build relationships with organizations and understand their impact before investing in them over the long term. Strategic Direction We aspire to be good partners with grantees – sharing ideas, cultivating open communication,and fostering a sense of community partnership. We look for partners who share our values and strategic priorities. To us, there is power in working together toward a common goal to create positive community change. In 2024, The Goizueta Foundation established a refreshed strategic direction focused on early learning, K-12 education, higher education, and building a stronger Atlanta.
