Overview

Glover Park Main Street Small Business Support Grants

Status: Active program with annual calls for applicants

Geographic Scope: Small, locally-owned businesses located inside the Glover Park Main Street (GPMS) corridor in Washington, DC

Focus Areas: GPMS funding supports a variety of direct and technical assistance projects for small & local businesses, including but not limited to:

  • Operational support

  • Technology & facilities upgrades

  • Consulting services

  • Facade & streetscape improvements

  • Business pivots (e.g., delivery services, online presence)

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for staff

  • Plexiglass barriers

  • Computer hardware or software
  • What They Don't Fund: Building facade improvements are not eligible at this time

    Eligibility:

  • Small, locally-owned businesses located in the GPMS corridor

  • Established businesses (new/pre-launch businesses are not eligible)

  • Businesses that have previously received GPMS support may reapply based on project description and need

  • All projects must be completed and all funds spent by June 30, 2021 (per FY2020 round)
  • Background: FY 2026 Call for Applicants to be released January 2026. Recent award history:

  • FY 2025: Granted $63,431.54 to 37 projects

  • FY 2024: Granted $62,662.84 to 19 projects

  • FY 2020: Distributed $71,700.00 for COVID-related recovery efforts

    How to Apply

    Application Process

    1. Download the Grant Application and Criteria form from the GPMS website
    2. Complete the Request for Proposals (RFP) form with your project description
    3. Address the criteria requirements in your proposal
    4. Submit your completed application by the deadline (rolling basis until specified deadline date)
    5. Receive notification of award decisions
    6. Receive fund disbursement immediately after selection

    • Project description addressing eligibility criteria
    • Documentation of business eligibility (location in GPMS corridor, established business status)
