Gladys Harris Award

Eligibility: Meninak Club members only

Award Criteria: Presented annually to the Meninak member whose:

  • Active and enthusiastic participation advances the goals and ideals of the Meninak Club

  • Presence enhances the camaraderie among fellow Meninaks

    • Award:

  • Permanent trophy with an appropriate plaque retained by the recipient

  • Recipient's name inscribed on the permanent trophy

    • Background: Established by the Board of Directors in 1981 in memory of Gladys Beth Harris, who was the Executive Secretary of the Meninak Club for nearly 50 years (1922-1972). Harris was known for her exceptional organizational ability and coordination of the club's many committees, which contributed to the Meninak Club's eminent position in the community.
