Give Like Sam Grant

Purpose: Provide resources for young, community-minded individuals and groups to plan and carry out meaningful service projects to benefit Summit County communities.

Geographic Scope: Summit County, Utah

Eligibility:

• Grades 6-12 during the funding year
• Live or attend school in Summit County, Utah
• Willing to participate in a post-experience interview with Live Like Sam Foundation

Project Requirements:

• Students identify community needs, brainstorm solutions, and apply for funding
• All project ideas welcome, regardless of size
• Projects must be completed by end of school year

Background: Established in honor of Sam Jackenthal's dedication to giving back to his community. Sam was known for his generosity and kindness, leaving a legacy of positivity through character rather than talent alone.

How to Apply

1. Verify Eligibility: Confirm you meet all requirements (grade level, location, willingness to interview)
2. Create Account: Visit the Kaleidoscope website and create an account
3. Complete Application: Fill out the online application form via Kaleidoscope
   • 40 questions total
   • Estimated time: 45 minutes
   • Note: Must be completed on a computer, not mobile device
4. Submit Before Deadline: Submit via online form by deadline
5. Await Notification: Recipients notified in early January
