Organization: American Federation of Police & Concerned Citizens (AFP&CC), a program of the United States Law Enforcement Foundation, Inc.

Geographic Scope: Nationwide (United States and Puerto Rico)

Program Description: Remembering the children, spouses and parents of fallen officers with gifts throughout the year is a core part of AFP&CC's work. The organization operates "The North Pole," a physical facility and program established in 1989 to coordinate and deliver gifts to survivor families.

The North Pole Gift Program

Established: 1989

Participants: Over 900 children from almost every state in the United States and Puerto Rico, plus thousands of spouses and parents

Scope: In 2016, gifts, ornaments and cards were sent to more than 13,000 survivor children, parents and spouses

Background: AFP&CC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization headquartered at The American Police Hall of Fame in Titusville, FL. The program was created in response to the growing number of survivor children who lost a parent in the line of duty.
