GFAMH: Research Grant

The Group Foundation for Advancing Mental Health is inviting proposals for research grants aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of group psychotherapy. Grants up to $5,000 will be awarded based on the proposal's significance, quality, and the team's experience. The foundation is particularly interested in studies that investigate treatment outcomes, process-outcome relationships, specific therapeutic formats, and the impact of individual differences on group treatment. A completion timeline of one year is expected.

Overview
The Group Foundation for Advancing Mental Health is pleased to announce a call for grant proposals for original critical research reviews, either qualitative or quantitative (particularly meta-analyses), that focus on some selected area of group psychotherapy.
treatment outcome either for selected clinical issues (e.g., depression) or cost effectiveness,studies that examine specific process-outcome relationships (such as the association between interpretative work and outcome), specific group formats and approaches (such as psychoeducational groups for stress management),focus on individual differences that impact group treatment (such as race/class/gender or member attachment), orcomparisons of group therapy to other forms of treatment.
Funding
Grants will be awarded up to $5,000 depending on the significance and quality of the proposal to the field, the experience of the investigative team and the number of grant applications received. Grant monies are awarded with an expected completion of the project in one year as follows: forty percent upon grant approval, forty percent upon submission of a six month progress report and the final twenty percent upon receipt of a post project report.
