Primary Objective: Support Polish supplementary education, promote Polish culture and traditions, educate Polish diaspora children and youth in the spirit of Polish identity and respect for Polish heritage

Programs & Activities (§7)

The Foundation operates through programs containing multiple projects, with goals of systematically improving education quality, teacher development, education management, and promotion of Polish language and culture.

Specific Activities Include:

• Education: Non-profit teaching of Polish language, history, geography, and traditions to Polish diaspora children and youth
• School Operations: Establishing and operating Polish supplementary schools in the United States
• Student Experiences: Organizing camps and educational trips for Polish school students
• Curriculum Development: Creating and publishing textbooks and teaching programs for Polish schools
• Teacher Training: Organizing professional development workshops and training for Polish school teachers
• Language Assessment: Organizing non-profit language proficiency examinations for youth
• Scholarships & Training: Scholarship and training programs for school-age and university-age youth
• Research & Publications: Non-profit research, information, and publishing programs to support educational development, especially Polish diaspora education
• International Cooperation: Promoting educational, scientific, and cultural exchange
• Cultural Promotion: Promoting Polish culture, literature, and national heritage in Poland and globally
• Networking: Supporting educational, scientific, and cultural connections between Polish diaspora communities and educational institutions and organizations in Poland

• Domestic and foreign donations, inheritances, and bequests

Governance

Board Structure: Foundation is led by Board of Directors (minimum 8 members) and Management Board

Oversight: Ministry responsible for education and upbringing in Poland

Legal Status: Registered as a public benefit organization under Polish law

Financial Restrictions (§10)

The Foundation is prohibited from:

Providing loans or securing obligations using Foundation assets for Board members, Management Board members, employees, or their family members

Transferring assets to employees or Board members on terms different from those offered to third parties

Using assets for employees/Board members on different terms (unless directly required by statutory goals)

Purchasing goods or services from entities owned by or involving Foundation members, Board members, or employees on preferential terms or above-market prices

Status

As of 2017 (when documentation was updated), the Foundation was in early operational phases, developing vision, mission, and preparing to implement first projects. The Foundation operates long-term strategy based on holistic approach to Polish diaspora education—from students and parents through teachers to broader Polish communities.
