Fuel Good in Your Community Awards

Eligible Recipients: Students participating in or connected to Fuel Up to Play 60 programs
Program Overview
Dairy farmers partnered with New England Dairy to recognize students doing good and going above and beyond for others with Fuel Good in Your Community Awards. Selected students earn a $1,000 grant to support school wellness through increased access to school meals and physical activity.- Recognize student leadership in wellness and community service
- Support school wellness initiatives
- Celebrate students giving back to their communities
- Encourage lifelong healthy habits
- Increase access to school meals and physical activity

Nomination Process
1. Identify Eligible Student:
- Student should be involved in Fuel Up to Play 60 or school wellness activities
- Demonstrate community service and leadership
- Show commitment to helping others and improving school/community
2. Submit Nomination:
- Nominator can be parent, community member, teacher, or administrator
- Complete nomination form/application
- Provide detailed description of student's accomplishments
3. Nomination Content:
- Student name and school
- Description of community service activities
- Explanation of leadership demonstrated
- How student has supported wellness in school/community
- Specific examples of positive impact
4. Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated community service
- School and community involvement
- Support for peer wellness
- Leadership qualities
- Potential impact of funding
5. Award Notification:
- Selected students awarded $1,000
- Award supports school wellness initiatives
- Funds used for increased meal access and/or physical activity programs
