FRS: Community Grant Program

The FRS Community Grant Program supports rural communities served by NTCA members, offering grants up to $5,000 for various local initiatives. Priority is given to projects that promote economic development, education, health, and public service. Eligible applicants must secure a 10% match of the grant amount requested. Ineligible projects include overhead expenses, individuals, and those without secured funding. FRS aims to foster sustainable and engaged rural communities through these efforts.

As part of its ongoing commitment to rural communities across the country, FRS offers aid for communities served by NTCA members through its annual Community Grants Program. These grants are designed to provide support to a variety of local efforts to build and sustain a high quality of life in rural America.

Eligibility

NTCA member companies will be responsible for a 10% match (i.e. if the applicant requests and wins a grant for $5,000, the NTCA member company is responsible for $500 and FRS is responsible for $4,500).

Ineligibility

FRS will not award projects to:Applicants who received grant funding from FRS within the past two yearsOverhead Expenses (salaries, rent, utilities, insurance)IndividualsPass-through Funding (scholarship or re-granting programs)Seed funding or projects that have not secured at least 75% of the required funds for completionConferences, Events, Travel, and Staff TrainingMembership or Dues-based ProgramsInternational OrganizationsLobbying and Political ProgrammingReligious Activities or ResourcesInfrastructure/Building CampaignsSecurity CamerasCapital Campaigns or EndowmentsVehiclesDigital SignageEvent SponsorshipsCommunity Food ProgramsDebt Reduction Efforts or Loan RepaymentsFor-Profit Businesses
