Background:
The Frank Macon Trades Scholarship Charitable Trust was established by Franklin Macon, a Tuskegee Airman who was raised in Colorado Springs. After a successful career in the skilled trades, Macon wanted to return success to future generations. The Trust was founded in 2019 and initially provided direct scholarships. In November 2023, the Macon Trust Board of Trustees partnered with the Pikes Peak State College Foundation (PPSCF) to create an endowment, ensuring the scholarship will continue in perpetuity.
