Fox Valley United Way is committed to ensuring that all young children, birth to age five, have equitable access to early childhood resources and education. This scholarship has been established to address the teacher shortage in the field of early childhood by supporting individuals pursuing an early childhood degree.

    Eligibility Requirements

  • Major: Early Childhood Education
  • Residency: Must reside in the Fox Valley United Way service area (Kane and Kendall Counties)
  • Student Status: Open to both new and returning Waubonsee Community College students

    Preference Criteria

    Preference will be given to:
  • Bilingual students
  • Persons of color
  • Students currently working in an early childhood center

    Award Distribution

  • Awards will be split evenly through Kane and Kendall Counties
