The Santa Clara County Fish and Game Commission is accepting grant applications for enhancement projects related to fish and wildlife resources in Santa Clara County. The Commission, established by the County Board of Supervisors in 1960, has a special Fish and Wildlife Propagation Fund used to protect, conserve, propagate, and enhance fish and wildlife within Santa Clara County. Healthy and natural ecosystems are vital. That is why the Commission seeks to minimize the effect of human intervention on the environment with funds from grants. This supports the goals of protecting, enhancing, and restoring fish and wildlife. Commission activities are governed by the California Fish and Game Code (Sections 13100-13104). All requests should be submitted at least 17 days prior to the Fish and Game Commission meetings to be considered at the upcoming meeting.
