Beatrice Educational Foundation, a nonprofit corporation, was established in 1987, and one of the first education foundations in the State of Nebraska. The Foundation’s purpose is to provide a permanent source of financial support for the expansion and enrichment of learning opportunities for the Beatrice School District. The Foundation manages a $3.8 million Endowment Fund and awards over $55,000 each year in scholarships to Beatrice High School graduating seniors. First Christian Church Foundation, Inc. Scholarships Ira and Nettie Marie Wright Scholarships for up to $2,000 for the first academic year of college or technical school will be awarded to any graduating senior who is a participating member of First Christian Church in Beatrice with at least one parent or guardian who is also an active member. Scholarship payment will be disbursed in installments of $1,000 per semester or $500 per quarter (for the first four quarters of enrollment) contingent upon maintaining a 2.0 grade point average.
