This directed topic grant calls for competitive submissions to examine a topic of the investigator’s choosing relevant to firearm safety and/or firearm injury treatment or prevention. Proposals should be consistent with the OTA Board’s support of public health considerations for this subject. Submissions must not advance, or be perceived to advance, a political position. Proposals will be judged on their scientific merit, impact, and likelihood of successful execution within the granting period by the research committee, in consultation with the Firearms Injury Task Force, as needed.
