Federal Award Information Estimated Available Funds ServeDC announces the availability of AmeriCorps State Formula Grant funding for Fiscal Year 2026 to eligible organizations subject to the availability of appropriations for Fiscal Year 2025. Grant award amounts vary – both in the level of operating funds and in the type and amount of AmeriCorps member positions – as determined by the scope of the projects. Project and Award Period The project start date may not occur prior to the date AmeriCorps awards the grant. AmeriCorps members may not enroll prior to the start date of the award. AmeriCorps members may not begin service prior to the beginning of the member enrollment period as designated in the grant award. A program may not certify any hours a member performs prior to the beginning of the member enrollment period. ServeDC Funding Priorities Gun Violence Prevention & Public SafetyPrograms focused on addressing gun violence and its impact, while creating activities promoting public safety in communities.Economic OpportunityPrograms focused on increasing economic opportunities for communities by preparing people for the workforce.Educational Opportunity and Economic MobilityPrograms focused on improving student attendance and engagement, providing tutoring and mentoring to students.Healthy FuturesPrograms focused on improving the health and wellness of District residents.Veterans and Military Families, Caregivers, and Survivorsa program model that improves the quality of life of veterans and improves the well-being of military families, caregivers, and survivors.Faith-based organizationsTo receive priority consideration, applicants must show that the priority area is a significant part of the program focus and intended outcomes; and must include a high-quality program design. Priority consideration does not guarantee funding.
