Fire Disaster Relief Grants

The Fire Disaster Relief Grants program, offered by the City and County of San Francisco's Office of Economic and Workforce Development, provides essential financial support to small businesses impacted by fires not caused by their own actions. Grants of up to $10,000 are available for inventory, equipment, and employee salaries, among other expenses. Eligibility includes being registered in San Francisco and having sustained physical damage within the last year. Nonprofits are also welcome to apply.

NOTE: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis while funds are available.
Background
The Office of Economic and Workforce Development (OEWD) and our community partners offer small business consulting services and access to capital in the form of grants and affordable and flexible loan products.
This program provides grants of up to $10,000 to small businesses damaged by a fire that is no fault of their own. Grants to eligible businesses are available on a first-come-first-serve basis, based on fund availability.

Eligibility

Your business must be registered in San Francisco at the time of the fireYour business suffered physical damages from a fire within the past 12 monthsFire can not be the fault of the businessThe damage must have been at a permanent, physical location in San FranciscoMobile businesses are not eligibleHome-based businesses are not eligibleThis include the management of residential rental propertiesYou must intend to reopen or relocate in San FranciscoNonprofits are eligibleMust have $5 million or less in gross revenueMust have an average of 100 or fewer employees
