Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund (FEEA) Merit-Based College Scholarships

Purpose: Provide merit-based college scholarships to eligible students connected to federal employees.

Eligibility:

  • Children or step-children of federal employees: Must be high school senior or already in college, under age 25, and unmarried

  • Grandchildren: Eligible for BIG-sponsored scholarships only (same age/status requirements)

  • Spouses of federal employees

  • Federal employees themselves

    • Academic Requirements:

  • Unweighted, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • In or entering a degree-granting program at an accredited institution

  • Full-time student status (federal employees may be part-time)

  • Federal employee sponsors must have at least 3 years of service by the application deadline

    • Award Amount: $1,000 per scholarship
