Overview
Fay Slover Fund
Purpose: Support start-up or program grants to organizations looking to increase access to art in underserved communities.
Geographic Scope: United States and beyond (international eligible)
Focus Areas:
- Demonstrated ability to acquire significant support from sources other than the Fay Slover Fund
- Sustainability beyond the funding period
- Progress tracking - previous grantees who have demonstrated appropriate progress
- Decreasing reliance on FSF funding (grant representing smaller percentage of budget)
Grant Priorities
Funding amounts awarded based on:- Organizations or programs working to create, sustain, or grow an art donation program
- Have a board of directors and 501(c)(3) status
- If status pending, include fiscal agency agreement
- International agencies must provide equivalent proof of NGO status
Eligible Applicants
Must be:- Independent nonprofit organizations
- Programs within existing community arts organizations
- Programs within colleges/universities
- Collaborative efforts

Application Process
1. Submit Letter of Interest (LOI)
- Brief LOI format required
- Submit by deadline (currently Fall 2022 cycle noted, check website for current deadlines)
2. LOI Contents:
- Information provided in Request for LOIs document
- Demonstrate organizational capacity and art access mission
3. Review Process:
- Expansion Committee reviews all applications
- Committee members serve as advisors to the Fund
4. For Current Grantees:
- Renewal application process information posted in August
- Different application requirements for continuing grants
- 501(c)(3) status documentation (or fiscal agency agreement if pending)
- International organizations: equivalent NGO status proof
- Board of directors information
- Program/organizational details demonstrating art access focus
