Summary
The Fast Pitch Grants, offered by the Legacy Foundation of Southeast Arizona, aim to enhance organizational capacity through educational initiatives like conferences and training for staff and volunteers. This funding focuses on internal development rather than direct service programs, supporting nonprofits in Cochise and Eastern Santa Cruz Counties. Eligible organizations must demonstrate a commitment to non-discrimination and serve populations in these areas. Approved applicants will showcase their initiatives through a brief presentation.Overview
Legacy Foundation of Southeast Arizona The Legacy Foundation of Southeast Arizona has been helping to serve the needs of Southeast Arizona since it was founded in July of 1963 as “Western Baptist Hospital of Sierra Vista and Cochise County” which was the only acute care hospital in Sierra Vista. Later the hospital was renamed Sierra Vista Regional Health Center and served as a regional medical center for many years. As of May 1, 2013, with the transfer of the operations of the hospital and associated health care services to the new operator of Canyon Vista Medical Center, and using the assets of Sierra Vista Regional Health Center, the Legacy Foundation was initiated and began its new mission of promoting population health and well being in Southeast Arizona. Fast Pitch Grants The Fast Pitch grant supports an organization’s ability to operate efficiently and build capacity through education such as conferences, webinars, speakers, or training curriculum for staff, board, or volunteers. The purchase of technology and software used to build internal capacity of the nonprofit organization is also included in the Fast Pitch Grant. Fast Pitch focuses on the inner workings of an organization, rather than programs and services. Fast Pitch upholds our commitment to build the capacity of nonprofits in Cochise and Eastern Santa Cruz Counties. Fast Pitch grants are for ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT. All organizations requesting grants must provide services that directly benefit populations residing in Cochise County and eastern Santa Cruz Counties. Approved applicants will be invited to do a 10-minute presentation (the Pitch).Eligibility
