Overview

Family Violence Prevention Services (FVPS)

This grant program makes temporary shelter environments and supportive services available through a network of local domestic violence services programs. These programs provide comprehensive services to meet the specific needs of domestic violence victims and their families. Providing these services locally increases the likelihood that victims will benefit from these services and that there shall be appropriate linkages to other community-based services as needed. Additionally, provision of services fosters a coordinated community approach to serving domestic violence victims that includes partnerships with law enforcement, courts, hospitals, local departments of social services, and other related support agencies.
