Family and Dependent Assistance Fund

Fund Details
- Childcare expenses for infant, toddler, preschool, or after-school/summer childcare
- Employee premium contribution for a Graduate Worker to cover a child or other legal dependent on the Yale Student Health Plan
- All reimbursed childcare must be provided by a covered childcare provider: - Licensed childcare center - Licensed family childcare provider - Licensed after-school program - Childcare program exempt from licensing under Connecticut law - Daytime summer camp program - In-home provider with a Social Security or Tax I.D. number
Covered Expenses
- Be employed in the Local 33 bargaining unit at the time expenses are incurred
- Be enrolled in or on leave from a Yale graduate or professional program at the time the fund application is submitted
- Be ineligible to receive any portion of the annual PhD student Family Subsidy during the academic term in which expenses are incurred
Eligibility Requirements
Applicant must:- Total fund amount divided by total number of eligible applicants to determine initial reimbursement allowance
- Each eligible applicant allocated initial reimbursement for documented and covered expenses up to allowable maximum
- If funds remain after initial allocation, applicants who received full reimbursement are removed and process repeats with remaining applicants
- Process continues until all Graduate Workers receive full reimbursement, reach maximum amount, or funds are depleted
- All awards are considered taxable income

- Deadline: Monday, April 16, 2026 at 5:00pm EDT
- Eligible Expenses: Incurred between November 18, 2025 and April 16, 2026
