Fall Programs Grants: PTA Healthy Minds

The PTA Healthy Minds program, supported by the New York Life Foundation, provides $1,250 to 75 local PTAs to enhance mental health resources for students and families. This initiative aims to empower PTAs to connect their communities with essential mental health support and programming, fostering resilience and emotional well-being among children. By engaging families and school leadership, the program promotes informed decision-making regarding mental health and ensures accessibility to resources for all students.

PTAs are perfectly positioned to connect families, students and teachers to mental health resources to reach the following goals:
Help families deepen their understanding, knowledge and skills to make informed decisions around mental health and social and emotional well-being and resilience. Support school leadership in providing relevant school-based mental health supports and services to families and teaching positive social and emotional skills to kids.
Ensure that mental health supports are available and accessible to all students and recognize the uniqueness of each child.

Eligibility

PTAs/PTSAs that are in good standing as defined by their state PTA and are interested in implementing a fun and engaging National PTA program focused on arts, digital safety and well-being and/or healthy lifestyles.
