Overview: The Merrick Foundation celebrates teachers who go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of students. This award honors the creativity, compassion, and commitment of local educators who inspire learning and strengthen schools.
Geographic Scope: Merrick County, Nebraska
Award Amount: $500 cash prize per winner

Nomination Process
Deadline: Sunday, November 30th (annual)
Required Information:
1. Nominator Information:
- First and last name

2. Educator Information:
- Educator's first and last name
- School (required; select from dropdown list)
- Grade and/or subject taught
- Confirmation that educator is current and certified Pre-K-12th grade teacher
3. Nomination Essay Questions (all required):
- What makes this educator extraordinary? (Describe their unique qualities, creativity, or dedication to their students.)
- How has this teacher made a lasting impact on students or the school community? (Share a specific example or story that shows their influence.)
- How does this educator contribute to the community beyond the classroom? (Examples: volunteering, coaching, leading clubs, mentoring, service projects.)
- What words would students or families use to describe this teacher? (List a few adjectives or short phrases.)
- In one or two sentences, summarize why this teacher deserves to be recognized as an Extraordinary Educator.
